Nagy Design LLC is the culmination of a journey that began in 2009, deeply rooted in a rich tapestry of experiences and a relentless pursuit for creative mastery. Post-high school, my path led me to Western Michigan University, followed by Kalamazoo Valley Community College, where I delved into engineering graphics technology. This academic chapter, though not culminating in a degree, was pivotal in earning a professional certification that laid the groundwork for my future professional endeavors. However, my education extended beyond the confines of formal schooling, as I embraced the vast expanse of the world wide web and the burgeoning Aquarian new age of information. This self-directed exploration allowed me to learn and grow in alignment with my creative inclinations, transcending traditional institutional boundaries.
After spending about eight years in southwest Michigan, a period marked by growth and exploration, I returned to my hometown to escape urban life and collaborate with my father in construction. This phase of my life was not just a return to roots but a fusion of traditional craftsmanship and emerging technology. It was here, in the synergy of working alongside my dad, that I introduced a CNC machine into our projects, marrying the hands-on skills of construction with the precision of modern machinery. This blend of old and new, the tangible and the innovative, laid the foundation for what Nagy Design LLC would become. Every custom part and piece of artwork was a step towards realizing a vision. A vision where every project was not just a creation, but a stepping stone towards something greater—a testament to a journey where skill, creativity, and technological embrace come together to forge a unique path in design and craftsmanship.
Founded in 2018, Nagy Design LLC has been evolving from its modest origins, anchored by a simple CNC machine that swiftly became the bedrock of my creative expression. This pivotal tool catalyzed my venture into complex engineering and artistic innovation, enabling the production of distinctive artworks and groundbreaking designs. My creations transcend mere aesthetic appeal; they embody a profound exploration of understanding and harmony. Drawing heavily on the archetypes of sacred geometry, these designs serve as contemplative and meditative tools that aim to align and enrich our perceptions. In these artistic endeavors, geometry is revered as the primal language of the universe, an elemental force that molds the world around us. By engaging with these patterns, one gains access to a foundation of objective truths, offering insights into the creator’s mind through the fundamental elements of its creation.
Since as young as 8 years old, I was introduced to computer technology, instantly captivated by its endless possibilities. This early fascination led me to build my first website on GeoCities at the age of 12, marking the beginning of my journey into the digital world. By 15, I had created my first community board and forums, UP hockey, fostering an online community of several hundred people who shared my passion for UP of Michigan sports discussions. This early venture into online communities was just a precursor to a more ambitious vision I had at 18 — to start a community board covering every possible subject matter known as ‘Infinity Envisioned’, an idea similar to what is now known as Reddit. Although this project didn’t progress far, it morphed into a different form during my developmental years, serving as a gateway to explore deeply into esoteric teachings of world myth, religion, and philosophy seeking their commonalities through synthesis.
This journey wasn’t just about finding personal meaning; it was an exploration at a grand scale, seeking to understand the underlying principles that govern our existence. Inspired by the approach of Buckminster Fuller, I adopted the mindset of a comprehensivist, endeavoring to see the bigger picture in all matters. I recognized that while specialization and diversity plays a crucial role in society, it causes us to lose track of holistic perspectives leading to a type of relativism. This comprehensive approach led me to explore various fields, from engineering, architecture, the meditative arts and cognitive sciences to nutraceutical-nootropic-traditional medicine. My journey is characterized by a constant synthesis of ideas, seeking to unify diverse aspects of knowledge and understanding, much like the intricate designs I create. My ethos is rooted in this approach – blending technical skill with artistic flair, and individual expertise with a holistic vision, all in pursuit of creating and understanding the grand design of things.
Conceived in 2016, the Inspire Project initially failed to gain the momentum I had envisioned, yet it persisted as a vibrant dream, quietly incubating within the fabric of our everyday ventures. The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, while halting our industry’s pace, provided a unique opportunity to revisit and refine this vision during a time of global introspection. This period helped transform the Inspire Project into its present form, deeply embedded in the classical liberal arts of the quadrivium—arithmetic, geometry, music, and cosmology—and dedicated to weaving these ancient disciplines with contemporary digital narratives. These narratives form the basis for shaping principles of digital democracy, blending age-old wisdom with modern contexts. At Nagy Design, this journey has evolved from creating tangible products to exploring significant philosophical and societal themes. The Inspire Project is seeking to be a catalyst of this evolution, embodying our commitment to fostering non-partisan dialogue on systemic design from both ecological and societal perspectives. It aims to transcend conventional thinking, illuminating paths toward an era of enlightened thought and life. As we advance, the mission is steadfast: to help reform the societal pillars of education, finance, health, governance, faith, and science in alignment with natural law.
