Energy carves the vessel it wants to travel through.
This is the philosophical heart of the whole system, and Coats states it as plainly as it can be put: "Energy creates the form of the path through which it wants to move, and along which it can move with the least resistance." The river does not find its bed — the flow builds it. The blood does not fill the capillary — the energy-path draws the vessel into being around itself.
Schauberger pushes the image to its limit: "The blood is the external manifestation of an energy path. What we see is the blood, but we do not see the energy that moves it." A tree rises only as high as its energy can draw matter up in its wake. The human body becomes, in his words, "a hollow energy path, a complex toroidal vortex for the transmutation of matter-energy." Whatever one makes of the metaphysics, the geometric claim underneath is sharp and testable: the shape that energy chooses, again and again, across every scale, is the vortex.
Watch what the graph is telling you. As the radius shrinks, the velocity climbs — not linearly, but along a rectangular hyperbola, the curve where the product of the two axes is always constant. Halve the radius and you double the speed. This is not Schauberger mysticism; it is the conservation of angular momentum, the same law that makes a spinning skater accelerate when she pulls her arms in, and the same reason the eye of a tornado or a bath drain spins fastest at its narrowest point. The funnel is a machine for trading width against speed.

Viktor’s son Walter Schauberger — who, unlike his father, had formal mathematical training — spent his life trying to give the intuition a rigorous skeleton. He called it the Pythagoras-Kepler System, and its seed is almost absurdly simple: the equation for the rectangular hyperbola, (1/n) × n = 1.

The tea-leaf paradox: where the vortex hides its secret
There is a small, famous experiment that reveals the hidden half of every vortex — and it is sitting in your teacup. Stir a cup of tea with loose leaves and, against all intuition, the leaves don't fly outward to the rim. They gather in a neat pile at the centre of the bottom. Whorls within whorls: one lexicon for water, life and cosmos
Here is the synthesis the whole codex has been circling. Schauberger’s deepest claim is not about water specifically — it is that a single vocabulary of form recurs at every scale, and that water is simply where we can watch it most clearly. "Nature’s workings could be described not as wheels within wheels, but as whorls within whorls."

Shell, horn, fern, the swimming fish, the swinging human gait — none connected to the straight line, the circle or the cylinder. All are energy-paths.
None of these shapes has any connection with the straight line, circle, point or cylinder — or with any of the mechanical systems we presently employ for the generation of energy. The rectangular hyperbola, conservation of angular momentum in a vortex (r·v = const), the harmonic series of the monochord, Kepler’s orbital laws, and the ubiquity of the logarithmic spiral in shells, galaxies, and cyclones. All standard, all beautiful, all real.
That form follows the path of least resistance for energy, and that this produces the same spiral-vortex geometry from DNA to galaxies. As pattern-recognition and as design philosophy (biomimicry), this is legitimate and productive — Walter’s system is a real attempt to formalise it.
That shared geometry implies a shared generative energy — a single "creative force" flowing through blood, sap, river and star. This is a metaphysical unification, not a physical one; the hyperbola in a galaxy and in a drain share a law of motion, not a life-force. Coats himself concedes it "may reek of metaphysics."
